awarded to Dr.G.PRABHAKAR

“The official language commission, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh will Confer on Dr.G.PRABHAKAR “Telugu Bhashotsava Award” on 21-02-2009 at Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad by Dr.Y.S.RAJASEKHAR REDDY, Honorable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The award has been given to Dr.G.PRABHAKAR in recognition of his contribution to Telugu Language and Literature outside A.P, especially for his contribution to classical Telugu. Dr.G.Prabhakar was responsible for training Telugu teachers, both non-mother and mother tongue Speakers. He is chiefly responsible for the preparation of Telugu text books for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, New Delhi. He has conducted National seminars on classical Telugu and Language use in Telugu Movies, the papers of which have been published in two books, namely, Telugu bhasha-Visistatha and Telugu cinema-bhasha.

     This award carries a citation, a memento and an amount of Rs. 10000/- cash.
